Printer Friendly Page Illini take time to meet the fans     March 26, 2008 - The Ice Arena's "Skate with the Illini" event was a huge success as a large number of fans came out to meet and greet the Illini as well check out all of the CSCHL and ACHA trophies that the Illini acquired during this years perfect season. After all of the players were introduced, and a few briefs words from Coach Cassel and Ice Arena manager Dave Bagger, the fans were allowed to take to the ice and skate with the National Champions. The Illini were sought out by young and old to sign autographs on shirts and programs. The Illini would like to thank the Ice Arena and Campus Rec for sponsoring the free skate and for everything done throughout this amazing season, as well as all of the great fans for their support throughout the year and for those that came out for the event. The Illini have one more get together planned, as they gather for the annual end of season banquet, slated for Sunday, April 6th at 2:00pm.
